OnePlus 6 Review with Manuals PDF - On this occasion, Smartphone Evolution will provide a review of the OnePlus 6 which comes in a new design with an engine that of course always makes its users satisfied. Indeed, you can see a very noticeable change from the outside, but basically the OnePlus 6 still feels the same as its predecessor smartphone, the OnePlus 5T. Let's examine more about what are the differences, advantages and disadvantages of this smartphone.
OnePlus 6 Design
As previously mentioned, the external appearance of the OnePlus 6 is very easy to distinguish from its predecessor. This smartphone replaces the back case that was previously made of metal into glass. Not only that, the camera on the OnePlus 6 is also located in the middle in a vertical position and below it is a fingerprint scanner which is now oval shaped.
Then the edges of this smartphone also feel smoother when compared to the OnePlus 5T, which will also feel a little wider. The OnePlus 6 weighs 15 grams heavier (177 grams) and 0.45 mm thicker thanks to the Gorilla Glass 5 exterior. This does sound a little disappointing, but this smartphone will provide a firmer feel when held.
The front of the smartphone is almost covered by the screen, leaving thin bezels on the top, bottom and sides. Coupled with the notch that contains important components such as the front camera, the bezel at the top can be trimmed to be much thinner. Like it or not, the notch plays a huge role in allowing this smartphone to have a full screen.
The buttons and ports available on this smartphone come in the same position as the OnePlus 5T, but there is one big difference. The difference is the position of the SIM tray and notification sliders that have switched sides. The position of the slider which is located on the right side will make using it much easier and more comfortable, but it will make old OnePlus smartphone users adapt again.
At the bottom you'll find a headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and a single speaker. In addition, just like before, the OnePlus 6 also does not have a water resistance certification.
Display
As an update from its predecessor, the OnePlus 5T, which features an Optic Amoled display panel measuring 6.01 inches 1080p with an 18: 9 aspect ratio, the OnePlus 6 comes with a longer screen measuring 6.28 inches which is quite impressive. But don't expect that you will get a very different experience because the screen has the same technology, namely AMOLED 1080p with a slight difference in the resolution which measures 1080 x 2280.
Even so, this screen can still amaze you with the various advantages presented by the AMOLED screen, which include bright colors, wide viewing angles, deep blacks, and high brightness when you use it in the hot sun.
Even though the default settings are enough to give an extraordinary impression, you are also still provided with a number of screen features to be able to provide a much more pleasant viewing experience. The RGB mode on this smartphone will increase color accuracy, and you can also use the color temperature slider to adjust the color display as desired. If you have previously used a OnePlus production smartphone, then you will not feel unfamiliar with these features.
Camera
You could say that the line of smartphones made by OnePlus provides cameras with mediocre results. However, the OnePlus 6 features a new, slightly better camera. The dual camera configuration found on the OnePlus 6 consists of a 16 MP and 20 MP camera and an f / 1.7 aperture. The 16 MP camera is now equipped with a Sony IMX 519 sensor which has 19 percent larger pixels when compared to the OnePlus 5T to help capture images in dark conditions. On the other hand, the 20 MP secondary camera has the same sensor as the OnePlus 5T camera.
Now the images captured in dark conditions are much sharper than the OnePlus 5T, although there are still some points that are too sharp. The resulting color also looks more natural and you can enjoy the details of the image well.
In brighter conditions, the OnePlus 6's camera also feels better than the 5T but not significantly. The sharpness and detail of the photos produced by the main camera can be said to be very good, with color accuracy that is not too saturated. The resulting dynamic range is also quite good here with a high level of detail without affecting the contrast too much. Image quality tends to deteriorate when using the 2X zoom so you should probably avoid that.
OnePlus adds some new tricks to the OnePlus 6 camera which includes 4K 60 fps video recording as well as an addition of OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Not only that, this smartphone can now record slow-motion videos at a resolution of 1080p 240 fps and a resolution of 720p 480 fps.
The front camera on the OnePlus 6 can be a disappointment cure for selfie fans because the resulting image quality looks a little better than the 5T even though it uses the same sensor.

Some of the features that the OnePlus 5T has are also not absent from this latest smartphone. There is a Pro Mode that you can use to control images, or more or less the same as when you use a DSLR. Potrait Mode also remains even though it doesn't really satisfy the desires of its users. Fans of the idea of a camera with a mock bokeh effect will find this effect will see that the resulting image will look less natural.
OnePlus 6 Performance
OnePlus has been widely recognized as a smartphone manufacturer that is able to make products at a more affordable price. However, you will not be disappointed with the performance and performance that each smartphone has. Likewise, the OnePlus 6 also presents the best specifications you can get from an Android device today because this smartphone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which is then paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM size variants.
Its burst of performance will also satisfy your expectations with smooth and fast animation movements, and incredibly accurate touch response. All games or applications that you run using this smartphone will open quickly without any visible pauses. Even game titles that are more demanding for high-level performance like PUBG Mobile can run very smoothly on this smartphone.
The OnePlus 6 is equipped with the same battery capacity as the OnePlus 5 and 5T, which is 3,300 mAh. Even though it has a larger screen size, you don't need to worry about the power consumption it has. This is because Qualcomm Snapdragon has a very high level of power efficiency. Even though the battery is not a new breakthrough, its usage is still above average for other smartphones. Coupled with the OnePlus Dash Charging feature, you won't feel disappointed with the power on this smartphone. Dash Charge can charge the battery from empty to 60 percent in just 30 minutes.
