Charming Design
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite looks premium with a polycarbonate case that gives off a sparkling impact. Apparently it is also contemporary with a purplish blue gradient. The rear body arrangement does make it feel slippery when in the hand. Not only did it leave smudged finger spots apparently a steady one.
The screen of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is 6.26 inches in dimensions. This phone also adopts a notch, but in a fairly small dimension. The bezel is quite thin so that the screen looks wide and is safe to use to watch video content. Please, however, when playing a game, PUBG, for example, the button settings on the left do leave an annoying space in the notch section.
Performance
There are 2 types of Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. One with 128 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM, and another one with 64 GB of internal storage with a mix of 4 GB of RAM.
This latest Xiaomi smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset, in which the mobile processor has 8 cores. This System on Chip (SoC) uses 8 cores Qualcomm Kryo 260 64 bit. 4 cores run at 2, 2GHz as well as 4 cores x 1, 84GHz. But it needs to be known, the Kryo 260 is a costume chip from ARM Cortex-A73. From the GPU side, the Snapdragon 660 uses Adreno 512 at 850 MHz.
The average RAM capacity used is 949 MB, with optimal RAM usage holding the number 1, 17 GB. When compared to playing PUBG Mobile, the RAM usage is almost the same.
On the other hand, the battery energy consumption when playing Asphalt 9 is 458 mA, which is more economical than playing PUBG Mobile (654 mAh). Meanwhile, the duration of the test together is 30 minutes.
Unfortunately for some reason, GPU usage is not listed in the application, it only says "Not Available". As a reflection, I recently tested the Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone by playing the game Asphalt 9. The result was 18.86 percent CPU usage and 86.88 percent GPU usage. So of course, the GPU performance on the Mi 8 Lite will use more than the CPU usage. Oh yes, the CPU performance usage of the Mi 8 Lite is 7.92 percent.
