Approaching Xiaomi's 10th anniversary, rumors have spread that the Beijing-based electronics manufacturer wants to present 2 new special edition smartphones. One is listed in the Redmi sub-brand, while the other one is included in the premium series is the Mi series. Yesterday (11/8), Xiaomi in conclusion announced the arrival of Mi 10 Ultra globally.
This time, Xiaomi decided to give the name "Ultra", arguably using the same approach as an electronics manufacturer from South Korea. The Advantages of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
The design itself does match the Mi 10 series, except for the rear camera material. Meanwhile, on the front side, rumors of using an under-display camera were brushed aside by the arrival of a 20MP punch-hole camera on its left. It comes with a screen size of 6.67 inches curved OLED display, the screen can light up brightly up to 1120 nits, and supports a 10-bit color depth.
The responsiveness of the screen has also been improved, currently supporting a 120Hz refresh rate with 240Hz touch sampling rate. Xiaomi also emphasizes the accuracy of its screen with a JNCD score <0.63 and Delta E -1. What's special is definitely the 4 rear camera setup. From a very basic order, there's a 20MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide camera sensor with PDAF. On it is the main sensor made specifically for Mi 10 Ultra, has a resolution of 48MP which supports pixel-binning, producing large quality 12Mp images. The sensor is supported by OIS, EIS, 8P lens and dual native ISO technology. Video recording supports 8K with HDR10.
While the other 2 sensors are telephoto type, are 12MP portrait with 2x optical zoom, and one Sony IMX586 sensor. This last sensor is designed in a periscope configuration, is equipped with OIS + EIS, and is able to share up to 120x zoom magnification.
When the zoom exceeds 15x, there will be a preview window in the viewfinder to show the position of the frame, a kind of powerful camera. This mix of 4 state-of-the-art sensors is able to bring Mi 10 Ultra to reach the highest score at DxOMark at this time, reaching a score of 130 points.
The chipset used is still Snapdragon 865 without Plus, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 to 512GB of storage. With special cooling technology, this smartphone is able to surpass 660 thousand points on the AnTuTu benchmark.
Using graphene li-ion technology, the battery capacity of the Mi 10 Ultra is 4,500 mAh. Fully charging this smartphone only takes 40 minutes… wirelessly.
