ASUS Zenfone 4 MAX Pro Review: Better Than the Previous One? | Smartphone Evolution

Unlike the previous years, ASUS this year is faster to launch their latest product in World. Not long after the launch of the Zenfone 4 series in Taiwan, currently ASUS has launched one of the Zenfone 4 product series in World, the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Pro.

It's also different from previous years, ASUS even announced the Zenfone 4 Max Pro in the world earlier than the Zenfone 4 series and Zenfone 4 Selfie which ASUS also announced during an event in Taiwan in August. ASUS Zenfone 4 Max pro brought some changes from the previous generation, there was a significant increase in battery life and a very significant one in terms of photography, ASUS introduced dual cameras for the Zenfone 4 Max Pro.

It seems that ASUS quite believes the Zenfone 4 Max Pro will be in great demand by users in the country, considering that the sales of the Zenfone Max series are always in great demand for World consumers, then what kind of greatness is the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max pro, let's follow the following review.

Design

The design of the Zenfone 4 Max Pro ZC554KL looks quite different when compared to the previous generation. Especially this time the Zenfone 4 Max appears with a dual camera design on the back. This makes it more like the Zenfone Zoom S, which also has dual cameras on the back.

But on the Zenfone 4 Pro, this feature looks thicker. Of course, because this smartphone has a large battery capacity. Not only that, there is also a fingerprint sensor on the front. different from the previous generation which has a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Especially this time the Zenfone 4 Max appears with a dual camera design on the back. This makes it more like the Zenfone Zoom S, which also has dual cameras on the back.

With a dark patterned shape and matte finish, the smartphone behind this smartphone is of course also looks like a kind of iPhone 7 Plus with a jet black variant. The dual camera material is located on the upper left side, with the flash on the edge. The ASUS logo is faintly visible, also located on the reverse side.

Ergonomically, the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Pro is quite safe to hold. The variant we tested was patterned Black Deepsea, with a matte finish. The matte finish is also used, giving more grip and making it less slippery in the user's hand. But besides that, ASUS also provides bonus protection in the form of a jelly case, so that the effect of falling from the grip can be minimized.

This feature has a screen with dimensions of 5, 5 inches with the front of the screen having a contour of 2, 5D. The bezel on the right and left is quite thin, and on the base bezel, there is navigation, with the home button which acts as a fingerprint. This fingerprint sensor cannot be in the form of a button, only the sensor material is attached without being able to be pressed.

This time the Zenfone 4 Max Pro has dual SIM cards and a dedicated MicroSD slot. Both SIM card slots have a nano type, so they will be very beneficial for users who want to use the bonus memory expansion. SIM card tray is placed on the left side of the feature.

On the right side, there is a volume button and an adjacent button. The 3.5mm jack hole at the top, and the Micro USB slot at the base. Yes, Zenfone 4 Max Pro still uses MicroUSB connectivity, even though currently there are many smartphones using USB Type C.

Specification

The specifications of the Zenfone 4 Max Pro make the innards not much different from the previous generation. This feature still carries Snapdragon 430 SoC (Cortex A53 Octa-Core 1, 4GHz + GPU Adreno 505) accompanied by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The screen uses an IPS panel with dimensions of 5.5 inches with HD resolution.

But what is quite different is the camera features used. This smartphone carries a main camera with dual 16MP resolution sensors, with a normal-wide setup. If you look at the features offered, of course this can be said as an increase, but of course we want to review in more detail how the quality of the new features on this Zenfone 4 Max Pro camera.

Zenfone 4 Max Pro again carries a large battery capacity. After the previous generation, it was said that they faced shrinkage, because they only used a 4100mAh capacity battery when compared to the earlier generation which used a 5000mAh capacity battery. Currently ASUS is introducing a 5000mAh battery for this Zenfone 4 Max Pro.

For sensors, Zenfone 4 Max Pro is always complete with various sensors ranging from Acceleration, Proximity, Ambience Light, Compass, to

Gyroscope. Zenfone 4 Max Pro has 4G LTE connectivity which can play a role in both existing slots and use the nano type. For users who need bonus storage media, can use a dedicated MicroSD Card slot. Other connectivity that is owned is Wi-Fi 802.11 b / gram / n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS and USB OTG.

The USB OTG feature is meaningful for the Zenfone 4 Max Pro because this feature relies on a large capacity battery that can also be 'shared' with other features that require energy. That's why Zenfone 4 Max Pro provides the USB OTG cable knick-knacks for the sales use. Not only that, the sales package on Zenfone 4 Max Pro is now so a little more complete, is the availability of a jelly case.

So in totality, the Zenfone 4 Max Pro sales package is available including handsets, novel guides and warranty cards, charger cables, charger adapters, ejector pins, and USB OTG cables

The Zen UI that was imported on the ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Pro looks simpler because currently there are fewer preinstalled applications. Hmmm, this time the reviewer is quite happy because there are fewer default applications installed on the Zenfone 4 Max Pro, making it easier to find applications that have been installed without having to stir the folders first.
